  • New USERRA Posting and Health Continuation Requirements:

If you haven’t done so already, be sure to post a notice of USERRA’s rights and benefit plan obligations on employee bulletin boards. The Veterans Benefits Improvement Act imposed a new posting requirement on employers, and also made changes to USERRA’s health plan continuation requirements. (The USERRA continuation period is now 24 months, not the 18 months required under COBRA.) A model USERRA notice is available on the Department of Labor website.
